If your preferred coping mechanism for the tragic end of all things "Twilight" has been to soothe yourself with the comforting fact that hey, at least the real-life Edward and Bella are still out there somewhere loving each other...well, you may want to take a seat for this next part, because we're about to ruin your life.
According to People, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are officially quits, really, for reals. The ever-ubiquitous "source" has told the magazine that the pair's relationship—which had long been one of the least-witnessed, most-speculated-about romances in Hollywood—has gone from "on the rocks" to "nonexistent" (although said source, perhaps in an effort to preempt the outraged shrieks from fans everywhere, has added that a reunion isn't entirely out of the question).
Those who've been following Robsten through the years will recall that this isn't their first publicized breakup; the couple also split briefly after rumors surfaced that Kristen had dallied romantically with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, but then reunited for long enough to ensure a strong finish for the "Twilight" film franchise and make us all believe in love again. Which is not to say that their breakup has destroyed our faith in relationships or anything...except that it totally has, and furthermore, considering that their on-screen forever love turned out not to be real, we are also starting to think that Robert Pattinson may not actually even be a vampire, which is disappointing.
